Nah, I will always be upset at people chowing public funds and living the high life off corruption and denying people much-needed services. Their happiness will always be annoying, and there is nothing to introspect there.
If someone's happiness makes you feel some type of way, you surely have some self introspection to do.

The moral of this story is that a lot of you are not only desperate to treat your friends like shit without incurring any social cost, but also want to appear justified and morally superior in doing so.

Absolutely correct; gaslighting consumers that they ‘broke’ their phones is crazy.
Replying to @ijustine
I am not sure if this is supposed to be a joke or engagement bait, but there are many customers who spent $2,000+ on a new iPhone, did nothing to damage it, watched the screen crack anyway, then went to an Apple Store for a replacement only to find none.

Every single person who denies Zionism is racism should be asked if they agree with her post.
This girl isn’t a Ben Gvir support btw, she was at the Ben Gvir event to criticize him from the right. It was too confusing for the Guardian so they didn’t even get into that. She’s a Feiglin voter.

Hilarious that when all of his dumbest surrogates are pretending to be offended by a joke about the Cheesecake Factory, Trump is like - you fucking peasants couldn't afford an appetizer at my private club!
Trump's affordability message: "You could even come to Mar-a-Lago. You'll be my guest. The problem is that for $5,000 the most you'll be able to buy is a hamburger and maybe a small dessert. I'm not even sure you could buy that! No, don't go there. It's not a good place if you're price conscious."

The bubble will pop but prices will not reset lol
It’s 2029. The AI bubble has burst. Your rent is $900 for a two bedroom. You bought a new high end graphics card for $125 because there are too many hitting the market. You’re living off the massive government settlement w/ai companies, spacex, amazon, and meta for price gouging

It blows my mind how economists keep coming up with the same stupid solutions: cut government spending, slash taxes for the rich, raise taxes on the poor, scrap welfare benefits, deregulate financial markets, get rid of basically everything… And then, time and time again, they act surprised when the result is chaos, unemployment, poverty, depression…
MMT tells you a monetarily sovereign nation can issue all the currency/debt it wants and nothing will happen, claiming that currency and market volatility can easily be eliminated by cancelling the capital account. This nonsense can only be promoted by someone that does not understand that the currency collapse and creditworthiness slump are driven by domestic citizens and savers rejecting the local currency; it is not an evil conspiracy of foreign investors. Furthermore, no nation is monetarily sovereign. It always depends on demand. Try to force use or restrict flow, and the currency is worth nothing. And local citizens are the first to reject an increasingly worthless currency issued by an irresponsible government. You are welcome

The problem with European colonisers is that they always want to make their enemies our enemies. And whatever the fuck propaganda you're churning out, keep Africa out of your pale mouth.

Given an award for journalism that led to the death of someone who has been found not to have even plagiarised. This country is so disgustingly racist.
Very happy to have been shortlisted in the Specialist Journalism category in this year's British Journalism Awards for my investigation into Cambridge University professor Jason Arday and the extensive plagiarism in his PhD thesis #BJA2026

Remember when Amanda gives Nathan a strange look when he tells her that Elizabeth didn't really drink coffee - even after we saw her drinking coffee in front of Nathan? It turns out Amanda knew all along that Nathan wasn't seeing Elizabeth clearly because he had fallen under her spell.
Amanda Seyfried reveals the tiny detail that helped her understand Elizabeth Holmes while preparing to play her. Interviewer: “Was there something in those deposition tapes that made you think, ‘That’s her. That’s Elizabeth Holmes. That’s who she is’?” Amanda Seyfried: “Every time she drank her coffee. Because she can’t perform drinking coffee.” “It was just the way she drank her coffee. You’re drinking your coffee. There’s no way to perform that.” “It’s just like you’re hiding from something. She would swallow a certain way. Her visual discomfort was very palpable. The different smiles. That was my treasure box.” “Every time I needed some help or guidance, I would go to my computer and click on the four hours of the deposition.” “You’re under oath, and there are lights on you that are not flattering at all. You’re not in a good spot when you’re in a deposition most of the time.” “Mimicking somebody is so weirdly indulgent and exciting. And that was my teacher. She was my teacher.”

When their hesitance to release the Epstein files was in the news, DOJ had an emergency prison meeting with Ghislaine Maxwell and a few days later she was moved to a minimum security prison! You saw a ton of MAGA grifters drop their interest immediately. But some felt betrayed!
I saw @MarkHalperin ask, the other day, why Trump and Vance weren't doing another round with podcasters? My assumption: They feel duped, they had him on mic saying he'd release the Epstein files and prevent wars, and don't want to be cheap dates again.

Great tips from Brazil on how they turned things around for Lula online and offline: 1. Don’t ever engage, block far-right accounts immediately. 2. Don't debunk, focus on making new content on your platform. 3. Use all the tools at your disposal. 4. Be equally online and offline.

These places are just completely brain dead when it comes to gambling. If I owned a casino I’d pay you to park at my casino. I’d give you a 20 dollar voucher if you parked and you have 2 hours to play it in a machine or something. Like what do you think they’re gonna do, win? Who cares if they do. The whole idea of running a casino should be how to get people on your property and to stay on your property.
Caesars Entertainment made a grand gesture to locals on Tuesday, extending free parking at its Las Vegas properties to all hours from Oct. 31 through Dec. 26, along with 25% off drink and dining experiences including Thanksgiving and Christmas. #8NN 8newsnow.com/news/local-news…

That whole conversation RE: pitching in for Thanksgiving/cookouts/community gatherings is really about y’all not being privy to how elders were doing things, and now that y’all are at the grown folks table, you don’t know what to do and are apprehensive about every solution.

People use the fact that Palestinians voted for Hamas in 2005 as a permanent indictment of the character of the population (despite the majority being under 20 and barely sentient in 2005) but never apply those standards to Israelis consistently voting for a genocidal maniac

People like Drew, who couldn’t place Minas Gerais on a map if you paid him, don’t know that the Judge and Prosecutor in Lula’s case coordinated strategies to find him guilty, including by changing plea deal statements to fit their narrative, sentencing to jail until his 88th bday
Commies be like “just let us put you and your family in prison until you die. Come on bro please.”
